Introduction
What ApexityEdu is and how this manual is organised.
ApexityEdu is a school management platform that brings everything a school does into one place: student and staff records, attendance, fees and payments, exams and results, homework, quizzes, the library, notices, SMS messages, health records, routines, inventory and printed documents such as certificates and admit cards.
Each school runs its own copy of ApexityEdu, so your data is kept separate from every other school’s. A super administrator creates schools and controls which features each school can use; inside each school, an administrator runs day-to-day operations while teachers, accountants, staff, librarians and students each get exactly the tools they need.
What this manual covers
This manual explains how to use ApexityEdu. It is organised so you can read it two ways:
- By role — open the page for your role (student, teacher, accountant, and so on) to see everything you can do and how to do it.
- By task — open a How-to guide when you need to complete a specific job, such as recording a payment or printing admit cards.
The manual deliberately does not cover installing, deploying or programming ApexityEdu — it is written for the people who use the software every day.
Roles at a glance
| Role | Who they are | What they mainly do |
|---|---|---|
| Super administrator | The person who runs ApexityEdu itself | Create schools, manage maintainers, switch features on/off, apply updates |
| Administrator | The head of a school (or their deputy) | Set up and run every module in the school |
| Accountant | The school’s finance person | Fees setup, payments, salary tracker, reports, printing certificates |
| Teacher | A class/subject teacher | Attendance, homework, quizzes, marks entry, routines, SMS |
| Manager | Nurse, secretary, office staff | People, admissions, inventory, health, devices, salary |
| Staff | Everyday employees | Own attendance, notices, leave, salary snapshot, feedback |
| Librarian | The person who runs the library | Library catalogue, issues and returns |
| Student | A pupil | Their own academics, attendance, fees, homework, results |
| Guardian / public | Parents and outside visitors | Apply for admission, check results, pay fees — without logging in |
Guardians don’t log in
Guardians and members of the public never sign in to ApexityEdu. They use the public admission form, the public results and fees pages, and receive SMS messages sent by the school.
