Admissions
Public admission forms, review, acceptance and enrolment.
Admissions let the public apply through a form, which the school then reviews and accepts. Students and teachers use the same admission pipeline.
Creating an admission form
- Open Admissions (Admin → Admissions).
- New form — give it a title and choose what it admits:
- Student form — collects class/roll/guardian details; acceptance creates a student record.
- Teacher form — collects subject/designation/qualification; acceptance creates a teacher record.
- Add the fields and any documents you require.
- Set up the acceptance SMS (required — see below).
- Publish the form so the public can fill it in.
The acceptance SMS is mandatory
A form cannot be published until its acceptance message is set up. This is enforced so no applicant is ever accepted without being told. In Admissions → Forms → Messages, configure one message per decision stage:
| Stage | When it’s sent | Required? |
|---|---|---|
received | On submission | Optional |
accepted | On acceptance | Required |
rejected | On rejection | Optional |
Student forms message the guardian’s number and offer variables like
class_name, section_name, roll, student_id, guardian_name.
Teacher forms message the applicant and offer subject, designation,
qualification, experience_years. Shared variables include
applicant_name, form_title, school_name, date.
Reviewing applications
- Open Admissions.
- Open an application to see the applicant’s details and uploaded files.
- Accept or reject:
- The accept/reject dialogs pre-fill the form’s saved wording and show a live preview, so you can edit the text for that one applicant — or skip the SMS entirely.
- Accepting creates a student or teacher record accordingly.
Downloading files
Submitted files (photos, certificates, transcripts) can be downloaded from the application.
The public side
Applicants fill in the form on the public admission page — no login. See Guardians & the public.
Tips
- Write the acceptance SMS before publishing the form — it’s required and it’s the applicant’s first confirmation.
- Use the rejection note to be kind and specific.
- Download and store key documents (transcripts, IDs) after acceptance.
