Attendance — first-period marking
Teachers can mark first-period attendance for classes where they teach the first period of the day:
- Open Attendance.
- Open the first-period attendance action for the eligible class.
- Mark each student as present, late or absent.
Eligibility
The system checks the teacher’s first-period assignment for the current day. Administrators can also mark attendance manually, and biometric devices can record attendance when configured for the school.
Teachers can also view their own attendance record.
Homework
Open Homework to:
- Assign homework to a class or section with a due date and attachments.
- Review student submissions.
- Mark submissions and annotate supported image uploads.
Quizzes
Open Quizzes to:
- Create quizzes for a class or section.
- Use single-choice and multi-select questions.
- Review submissions and scores.
- Create an ad-hoc result from a quiz when the workflow allows it.
Exams — marks entry
Open Exams to enter marks for the subjects you teach.
A teacher-to-subject mapping is required for the relevant class/section. The mapping is created by an administrator in Academics Setup → Mappings. If the mapping does not exist, the teacher will not have that subject available for marks entry even if the subject itself belongs to the class.
If you teach several mapped subjects, select the appropriate subject when entering marks. The marks sheet shows the configured full marks for that subject.
Routine
Open Routine for a read-only view of your own teaching schedule.
Teachers do not build or modify the school’s timetable.
Syllabus
Authorized teachers can upload class- or section-specific syllabus files under Syllabus. Students in the target class or section can access the files available to them.
Notices, SMS and leave
- Notices — read school announcements.
- SMS — send messages when SMS is enabled and your account has access.
- Leave — submit and track your own leave requests.
Reports
Open Reports to view the reports available to your role.
Profile and personal attendance
Use Profile to manage your own permitted profile information and password. Use Attendance to review your own attendance history.
Before entering marks
If a subject is missing from the marks screen, ask an administrator to check . The teacher must be mapped to that subject for the relevant class/section.
