Signing in

How to sign in to your school and recover your password.

Signing in to your school

Every school has a short school code (for example, GRN or HERMES). You sign in using the school’s own web address:

https://your-site.example/login/SCHOOLCODE

Replace SCHOOLCODE with your school’s code. If you don’t know the code, ask your school administrator — it is usually the short name shown on the login page.

  1. Open the school’s login address in a browser.
  2. Enter your user ID or email and your password. (The ID field is pre-filled with your school code — just type the number after the dash.)
  3. Select Log in.

The card shows your school’s own logo and name — and nothing else. A tenant login page (/login/SCHOOLCODE) never shows the ApexityEdu wordmark: when the school has not uploaded a logo, a neutral school glyph stands in for it, and if the logo cannot be loaded the school’s initial is shown instead. That way one look at the card tells you which school you are signing in to. Below the card there is a link to the school’s admission form, and Forgot password? lives next to Remember me above the Log in button.

The universal sign-in page

You can also sign in from the platform’s universal portal:

https://your-site.example/login

That page is branded with ApexityEdu only (its logo and the title Login - ApexityEdu) — it never shows a school’s crest. Type your full SCHOOLCODE-ID (for example GRN-1024) and the page confirms the school under the field as you type, then enter your password. This is the page to use when you are not sure of your school’s web address, when a bookmark is lost, or when one person signs in to more than one school.

School-scoped pages are titled Login - <School Name> in the browser tab; the universal portal is titled Login - ApexityEdu.

Remember me

Tick and the login page will pre-fill your ID the next time you open it on the same device. Nothing but the ID is stored, and it never leaves your browser — your password is never saved.

Authenticate using Passkey signs you in with your fingerprint, face, screen lock or a hardware security key instead of a password — register a passkey from Profile → Passkeys & biometrics first.

Where do I get an account?

Your school administrator creates accounts for everyone. Students, teachers and staff receive their login details (and usually a one-time password) from the administrator. You will be asked to set your own password on first login.

First login and passwords

  • The first time you sign in, you may be asked to set a password of your own.
  • If you forget your password, use Forgot password? on the login page. You will receive a reset link or code by SMS or email, depending on how your school has configured it (the login page tells you which, once it recognises your school).
  • You can change your password at any time from your Profile screen.

Your role

Every account has exactly one role, shown as a chip in the top bar. The menus you see are the menus that role has. If you need different permissions, ask an administrator to change your role (People → Users → Change role) — your ID stays the same.

Signing out

Open your avatar menu (top-right corner) and choose Sign out. On mobile, the More sheet also contains a Sign out option.

The super administrator console

The super administrator signs in on a different page, /superadmin:

https://your-site.example/superadmin

This is the control plane that manages all schools — it is not reachable from the normal school login. Only people with a maintainer account can sign in here. See Super administrators.

Tips

  • Bookmark your school’s /login/SCHOOLCODE address so you always open the right school.
  • If you are shown the wrong school name, you have the wrong school code — stop and check before typing your password.
  • If a module you expect is missing, the super administrator may have disabled it for your school. Ask your administrator.
