How-to guide
Salary tracker
Record staff salaries, deductions and payments.
A task-focused guide: follow the steps when you need to get something done.
The Salary Tracker records staff salaries — separate from the school’s student fees module. Administrators, accountants and staff use it.
Setting up salaries
- Open Salary Tracker.
- For each staff member, set their base salary.
- Configure deductions:
- Absent deduction — per absent day.
- Late deduction — per late arrival.
- Save.
Marking salaries paid
For each pay period:
- Open the period.
- Mark each staff member’s salary as paid (or leave it unpaid).
Each period has a per-person paid status so you can see who has been paid and who hasn’t.
Who can edit
The administrator chooses which specific staff/accountant accounts may edit or mark salaries paid. Everyone else sees a read-only view.
Separate from payments
The salary tracker has no connection to the student payments module — it’s a standalone record of staff pay.
Tips
- Set base salaries once, then only adjust deductions each period.
- Grant edit access only to the people who actually process payroll.
